Tomatillos originated in Mexico and are a staple in Latin cuisine. Tangy in flavor, Tomatillos are typically used to balance out the spicy flavor of peppers in chili and/or salsa Verde. These tomatoes have a husk which are removed prior to drying and processing. This is an excellent addition to any salsa or Verde recipe. Tomatillos are full of flavor and do not have heat.
